I had my 36 week appointment Friday morning and am happy to report that although I definitely understand it could mean absolutely nothing, there’s actually been some progression already!! I’m dilated somewhere between 1 and 2 cm, which yes, doesn’t sound like much... but keep in mind that last time my water broke, we got to the hospital, checked in, labored for a few hours and after all that I STILL hadn’t dilated 1 cm yet. 2 cm may seem like a small and pointless progression, but it’s a small milestone that I’m going to be happy about. I’ve gone back and forth so many times throughout this pregnancy between vbac and C-section but can finally say that after my last appointment I feel like I can get a little more sleep at night. Bottom line is, I honestly think she’s coming early... early as in within the next two weeks. If she comes anytime before the 22nd, I’m playing it by ear. I’ll decide what I want to do when the times comes. I’m still open to trying for a vbac, but know that a C-section could easily be done if that’s what I want. If she hasn’t come before that time, I have a tentative C-section planned for Friday the 22nd with the same Dr that delivered Jaiden. I’d have to be at the hospital at noon to check in, prep work would be done for the next 2 hours, C-Section would begin at 2pm and Makenna would be in our arms (well, more like in Kevin’s arms) within 10-15 minutes. Long story short, I’ll finally have my daughter in my arms sometime within the next 19 days. Yayyy! The Dr’s were able to guess what they think her weight will be, and oddly enough they said no more than 7 lbs 7 ozs... which is almost funny to me because that’s exactly what they said about Jaiden. Kevin and I both think upper 7 or low 8, but we’ll see soon enough. I talked to another doctor about the pain I’ve been having in my left side above the ribs and she was pretty sure that it could easily be from the fact that Makenna has just completely beat me up on the inside that I’m bruised and swollen from all her kicks, punches, and jabs. I’ll post a video sometime this week so you can all see what I mean when I say that she is a WILD one. She completely knocks the breath out of me numerous times a day. She’s strong, and lets face it, my muscles aren’t in the same shape as the first time around. The only thing I really haven’t gotten an answer on is what position Makenna is in. Because of the fact that I have a tentative c-section planned, they don’t seem to be too worried about if she’s breech or not, but they cannot figure it out for the life of them. Why they haven’t done an ultrasound is beyond me, but if labor starts anytime soon as soon as I check into the hospital I’m to request an ultrasound to verify which way is up and which is down. I’m not worrying about it at all at this point. If she is breech, I’m taking it as my sign as to which direction I need to go. The worrying part has completely gone out the door for me, reality has set it—she’s has to get out of my belly some way or another. I have another appointment Friday so I’ll keep you all up to date :)

Look at that belly!...Makenna's ready to pop out! Time to bake some cookies and watch movies while ya wait. :O)
